LeAnn Yee has extensive experience
in marketing and sales with an expertise in marketing intellectual capital
and effectively communicating macroeconomic and political analysis.
Previously, she worked in financial services, not-for-profit sector,
and technology.
LeAnn Yee spent eleven years in financial
market sales. Most recently she worked for Trans-National Research
Corporation, an independent research firm that provides macroeconomic
and political research on emerging market countries. While there
she was a key member of the fixed income sales and trading desk.
Her primary role was introducing institutional investors from the U.S.
and Europe to the firm and developing relationships. She marketed
sovereign and corporate bonds from Latin America, Eastern Europe, and
Africa.
Ms. Yee spent seven years as an institutional
equity salesperson covering Asian markets. Those markets included
Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and the
Philippines. She sold equity research ideas and strategies to
fund managers at top mutual fund, insurance, and pension funds in North
America. She also completed an extensive ten month equity training
program in New York, London, and Hong Kong while at Goldman Sachs and
continued her equity sales career at Asia Equity and Kim Eng Securities.
LeAnn Yee has also worked in the not-for-profit
sector where she worked on a major fundraising event for the Ice Theatre
of New York, a performing arts group which blends figure skating with
modern dance. She managed an annual fundraising event which generated
record revenues and 70% of the annual revenues. She directed
all business aspects of fundraising and performances: ticket sales,
monies, accounting records, and major benefactor relations. She
also was responsible for managing promotional print scheduling and printed
marketing collateral targeted at patrons and attendees.
She began her career at IBM where she
was a Marketing Representative selling the complete line of products
to executives and research scientists in the federal government, government
related research laboratories (MIT Lincoln Laboratory and Charles Stark
Draper Laboratory) and higher education industries in the Boston area.
She was trained in the IBM structured sales call technique and as a
salesperson consistently exceeded her revenue objectives and was
recognized with the “100% Club” distinction and Branch Manager Awards.
LeAnn Yee is a graduate of Massachusetts
Institute of Technology where she received her Bachelor of Science degree
and a graduate of the Kellogg Graduate School of Management where she
received her Master of Management degree in finance and marketing.
