Ms. Glossman spent 25 years as an investment analyst — both buy-side and sell-side — including for Salomon Brothers, Lehman Brothers, and UBS, where she was managing director and head of United States bank, brokerage and fintech research until her retirement. She specialized in money center, trust banks and broker/dealers and over the course of her career, covered all aspects of the banking and financial services industries. Glossman was known for her in depth reports on banking and technology, as well as the international operations of the U.S. banks.
Following her retirement from investment research, Ms. Glossman has acted as an advisor and consultant to a number of financial institutions, particularly on strategy, business execution and investor communication. Her primary activity during the past 25 years, has been serving on a variety of public and private boards, primarily across the financial spectrum. Her current boards include Barclays US LLC (the $180 billion IHC operations of Barclays Plc) and Barclays Bank Delaware (primarily the US credit card operation) where she is audit chair and member of the governance committee; Live Oak Bancshares ($10 billion specialty lender with fintech expertise, #1 ranked SBA bank), chairing ALCO and nominations/governance, and sitting on audit/risk and compensation committees; and Vahanna Tech Edge (a SPAC oriented towards India-based technology companies with a global orientation). Past assignments have included insurance (QBE North America, Ambac Assurance), fintech startups (E-Charge, Powa Technologies), mutual fund trustees boards (SSgA Global Advisors), and special situations (WMI Holdings - now trading as Mr. Cooper; Katapult; A.M. Todd Group).
During her career as an analyst, Ms. Glossman was a frequent commentator on industry and company events for such entities as The Nightly Business Report, The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, New York Times, The Economist, CNN, CNBC, and various trade publications. She was a six-time member of Institutional Investor’s All-America Research Team and a member of the top ranked Global Bank Research team, along with winning the 2003 Wall Street Journal survey in the broker/dealer category.
Ms. Glossman earned a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a double major in finance and health care administration. She is also a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder.
